Job Description

  • We are looking for a Social Media & Communications Manager who understands that digital communication is more than posting content.
  • We need someone who can identify conversations worth joining, understand audiences, build meaningful relationships, create engaging content and translate digital attention into partnerships, fundraising, advocacy and real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day posting across all CHDFNigeria social media platforms.
  • Develop and execute monthly content calendars with the Multimedia Team across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and X.
  • Actively engage with other pages and accounts through comments, replies and collaborations.
  • Identify trending topics, sounds and conversations early and connect them naturally to CHD and CHDFNigeria's work.
  • Bring creative ideas and energy to social-media-led fundraising campaigns.
  • Engage organisations, healthcare professionals, influencers, policymakers, potential partners, donors and communities.
  • Grow following and engagement across platforms, using data to understand what is working.
  • Lead the Multimedia Team and ensure communication remains aligned.
  • Identify and nurture online relationships that can develop into partnerships, collaborations, donations and other opportunities.
  • Develop and execute monthly content calendars across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and X.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has a Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing or a Health-related field.
  • Has successfully grown a page, brand or personal audience and can demonstrate real engagement.
  • Enjoys being visible, interactive and conversational online—not simply posting content from behind the screen.
  • Is proficient in Canva, Meta Business Suite and analytics platforms.
  • Is familiar with AI content generation and animation tools.
  • Is self-motivated, organised and capable of working independently.
  • Has a passion for health, humanitarian work or non-profit communications, a strong advantage.
